A song that has a significant meaning to me and probably many other people around the world is the new 2010 version of “We Are The World” by all types of artists including Quincy Jones, Wyclef Jean, Jennifer Hudson, Justin Bieber, Lionel Richie and many other notable artists. When I listen to this song, I automatically feel very empowered and connected to the world around me. It opens my eyes as well as my heart to face the fact that as everything in my life is going smoothly, there are people who are struggling every day for the basic necessities to live and are in need of my help. This song was not only for a good purpose with aiding in the relief efforts to help the recently devastated Haiti but also serves as an inspiration for people all over the world. The fact that all of these artists from all different types of musical genres came together to record this song is a clear sign to all of us that when someone needs us, no matter what part of the world they are from , we all need to come together and help in any way possible. Whether we are able to admit it, or not, when people are in a desperate need for help, it is our duty to put aside our differences and put our best foot forward in the effort to help. The artists in this song are clearly making a stand that we are all a part of this world and when it comes down to it, we are all connected to each other by our struggles, successes and love.
